For white diamonds, we always strike a balance between the "4C" (carat, color, clarity, cut) but for color diamonds, color outweighs the other three. 

Color can be understood in two aspects, color purity and intensity. The more purer a diamond is, the more rare it is. For instance, a pink diamond is more rare than a brownish pink diamond. The second trait is color intensity. A dark, intense pink diamond is more valuable than a light, pale pink diamond.

白いダイヤモンドは、"4C"で表現される、「カラット / Carat 」、「カラー /  Color 」、「クラリティ / Clarity 」、「カット / Cut 」をそれぞれ見ると思います。しかし、カラーダイヤモンドに限り、色(カラー)が他の3つのCよりも重要視されます。

色は、純度と濃さと両面で評価されます。

不純物の少ないダイヤはそれだけ、希少になります。

例としてあげると、ピンクダイヤはブラウンピンク(ブラウン混じりのピンク)よりも、希少です。

もう一つが、色の濃さです。インテンスピンクは、ライトピンクよりも何倍もの価値が上がります。
