As discussed, the “C” (Color) of color diamonds is evaluated in terms of purity and intensity. Color intensity is divided into the following 9 categories in ascending order.

"Faint" 

"Very Light" 

"Light" 

"Fancy Light" 

"Fancy" 

"Fancy Intense"

"Fancy Deep"

"Fancy Vivid"

"Fancy Dark"

Generally, the color gets darker as you go down the list, the market value gets higher, but in terms of market value, Fancy Intense is higher than Fancy Deep because Fancy Deep gives a dull appearance which most people value less.

色の強さが弱い方から順に、以下の9つに分けられます。

価値としては、基本的には下に行くほど色が濃くなりますので高くなりますが、「ファンシーダーク」に関しては暗さが目立つため、低い評価になることもあります。

また、ファンシーディープはファンシーインテンスと色の濃さでは近しいですが、暗さのあるものも含まれるためファンシーインテンスの方が評価されます。

ファンシービビッドが最も美しいと評価されることの多い石となり、ファンシーダークは暗さにより、評価のされにくい石です。
